An electronic ID and new services have appeared in the “Army+” application
The mobile application for military personnel “Army+” has launched a digital ID for defenders, as well as new tools for everyday use. The update was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As explained by the department, the key innovation was the expansion of the capabilities of Army ID. From now on, along with a unique 9-digit identifier for submitting reports, the application will also include an electronic military ID with a photo and basic information that can be checked via a QR code.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine draws attention to the fact that the digital document does not replace paper military registration certificates, but can be used during inspections, in particular at checkpoints. After reading the QR code, representatives of the CCC and the SP or VSP receive confirmation of the status of a military serviceman.
A new information feed, “Pulse”, has also appeared in “Army+”, which contains explanations about the rights and opportunities of military personnel, practical advice, and examples from everyday service. In particular, the feed explains what types of leave are guaranteed to servicemen and the principle by which the bonus for years of combat service is calculated.
In addition, the application was updated visually and structurally. Reports, training materials, and other tools were grouped in the “Services” section, and the military support program “Pluses” was moved to the top of the interface. A separate notifications section appeared, where the history of report statuses and important messages for the entire period of use is stored.
The Head of Digital Products of the Ministry of Defense, Mstyslav Banik, commenting on the further development of the application, noted that “Army+” and will continue to be developed as a daily tool for the military. In particular, they plan to update the training modules, convert reports into understandable services for specific life situations, and simplify obtaining certificates and extracts.
