A woman was injured as a result of an explosion in the studio of a radio station in Kyiv. About this informs press service of the Kyiv police.
“Information about the emergency event was received by the Pechersk Police Department. An investigative team and explosives experts were immediately sent to the scene. It was previously established that an army detonator, which was in the premises as an exhibit, exploded. A woman born in 1999 was injured as a result of the explosion, and she was hospitalized “, – says the message.
According to law enforcement officers, the incident took place in the Pechersk district of Kyiv. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
The event happened during a live broadcast in the studio of the “Army FM” radio station, located in the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Mykhailo Hrushevsky Street. The device exploded in the hands of the radio presenter during the broadcast. It is noted that the bottom detonator “VP-9”, which was brought to the studio as a model of ammunition by one of the invited military personnel, exploded.
