On September 14-15, the X international festival of Ukrainian culture “Ukraine Fest” will be held in the cities of Lloret de Mar and Barcelona. This is reported in the press release provided publication “Ukrinform”.
The festival, celebrating a decade of cultural exchange between Ukraine and Spain, is designed to reveal the multifaceted nature of Ukrainian culture in its various manifestations. The organizer of the event is the Ukrainian association “Zherelo”, founded in Barcelona in 2012, which actively works to popularize and preserve Ukrainian culture in Spain. “Ukraine Fest” is a key project of the Association, demonstrating its commitment to cultural ties between the two countries.
“We invite you to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival together”, says the press release.
This year’s festival aims to present the richness of Ukrainian culture to Spanish and international audiences, support cultural ties between Ukraine and Spain, popularize Ukrainian art and traditions, and show Ukrainian identity, strength and indomitable spirit.
The festival program includes concerts with the participation of Ukrainian artists, fairs of folk craftsmen with handmade products, meetings with Ukrainian intellectuals on the topic “Who are Ukrainians”, art exhibitions and performances, in particular the play “Jeregel” by the “First Lviv Theater”, master classes of traditional Ukrainian games and dances, fashion shows from the Ukrainian brand “Robitnia” by Svitlana Horodetska, an exhibition of Ukrainian minerals and a food court with authentic dishes of Ukrainian cuisine.
