Annual inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 12%, in December 2024 consumer prices increased by 1.4%. About this reported State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
“Inflation on the consumer market in December 2024 compared to November amounted to 1.4%, for the year as a whole – 12.0%”, – the message says.
According to the State Statistics Service, in December, prices on the consumer market increased by 1.8%, in particular for food products and non-alcoholic beverages. The prices of butter, sunflower oil, milk and dairy products, vegetables, processed grain products, bread, beef, fish, fish products, pasta and pork rose the most – by 1.0-5.2%. At the same time, egg prices decreased by 1.5%.
Transportation costs increased by 0.5%, mainly due to a 2.1% increase in road passenger transport fares.
The general increase in inflation in Ukraine in the recent period is mostly related to the increase in food prices. At the same time, inflation expectations remain stable and financial stability is supported by significant international aid that continues to flow in.
