On April 16, 1922, a man was brought to London’s Charing Cross Hospital in the West End in an unknown condition, the roof leaking from a deep wound in his neck. When the victim regained consciousness, telling the police that no one was with him at the time of the attack, no one attacked him. They decided that he must be wrong until a witness to this event was found.

Two hours after the police inspector’s conversation with the victim, another man was brought to the same hospital with numerous stab wounds from an invisible criminal. Finally, on the same day, a third person who was attacked by an unknown killer arrived at the hospital.

All the investigations of the police led to only one thing – they found out that a number of crimes took place directly on the corner from Coventry Street. It seemed unusual that the third victim had been hit in the forearm by a blow from behind, but the man’s jacket sleeve was completely intact. This event went down in history as an attack by “invisible people in London’s West End”.
