Biden met with Putin before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: Zelenskyy

The 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, and the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, met in Geneva on June 16, 2021. The talks between the two leaders took place during a period of heightened international tension. However, their content has not yet been revealed, and this raises many questions, stated Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“We still don’t know what Putin and Biden agreed on in Switzerland. Then you know all this, all these details. I think you mostly know them, because I think even we don’t know all the details – we assume “, – noted the President of Ukraine.

Zelensky suggested that the results of the negotiations between Biden and Putin could have influenced further developments, in particular, Russia’s decision to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. He noted that over time, history will answer all questions.

Previously, a former employee of the US National Security Council, responsible for the policy on Russia, stated that the Biden administration doubted the ability of Ukraine to return these territories even under the conditions of significant military support from the West.
