By the end of the year, Ukraine will lose even more territories – the intelligence of Western countries

The advantage of the Russians in artillery and air, as well as a greater mobilization resource, currently provides the opportunity to continue the offensive of the Russian Federation. According to the intelligence estimates of Western countries, Ukraine’s territorial losses by the end of the year may be “significant”. However, German politicians emphasize that the situation can change if international partners accelerate the provision of defense assistance in key directions.
Roderich Kiesewetter, deputy chairman of the Intelligence Oversight Committee in the German Federal Parliament, confirmed that Ukraine has problems with ammunition and mobilization. But, according to the politician, not everything is so bad. Kiesewetter believes that pessimistic reports about the situation are very actively spread in some media from Moscow’s perspective.
“It seems that this is being done to hint that the situation is “hopeless” and that military support “doesn’t give anything anymore”. This is intended to subtly but brutally force Kyiv to cede territory,” – notes the German parliamentarian.
Roderich Kiesewetter says that, by giving up some territory, the Ukrainian authorities are trying to reduce losses among the military and buy time to wait for Western aid, to intensify the mobilization and work of its own defense-industrial complex.
“Ukraine can continue to fight and succeed on the battlefield, but any delay in support from Germany and other countries will make this process more difficult and expensive. The narrative of the hopelessness of resistance can be overcome only if Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s slogan that Ukraine will be helped “as much as necessary” will be replaced by: “Ukraine should be helped in every possible way”. For example, it is necessary to allow the use of Western weapons for attacks on the territory of Russia should be increased,” Kiesewetter emphasizes.
