It is foreseen that the cadets will reimburse the costs to the state in case of premature termination of the contract, including due to termination of Ukrainian citizenship. Compensation of expenses is also provided in the case of refusal to continue military service in the positions of sergeant, senior officer or officer after completing studies at an institution of professional advanced military or higher military education.

In addition, the obligation to indemnify applies to officers who leave the service within five years of graduating from a higher education institution, and for aircrew within ten years, regardless of whether this occurs in peacetime, mobilization or martial law.

“Funds returned by cadets and officers will be credited to the general fund of the state budget. This meets the requirements of budget legislation and ensures transparency in the use of state funds.” – emphasized in the department.

The updated procedure applies not only to VVNIZ, but also to institutions of professional advanced military education. The document also takes into account the peculiarities of serving during martial law and mobilization.
