Chinese government agencies are massively implementing DeepSeek

In China, the implementation of artificial intelligence is gaining a significant scale. Local authorities are actively developing their positions in the field of generative AI, using the capabilities of DeepSeek, informs Financial Times.

After the presentation of the DeepSeek R1 language model, the technology began to spread rapidly in various industries. A number of key public enterprises, regional authorities, hospitals and cloud services have already adapted this model for their own needs. Its active influence on conservative state structures was particularly revealing.

Representatives of the technology industry admit that it was DeepSeek that became the driving force behind the introduction of large language models in the public sector. The development has also attracted the attention of local authorities. For example, the Jinan and Hangzhou city governments have launched DeepSeek-based chatbots to help citizens with tax issues, utilities and paperwork. In the Futian (Shenzhen) district, AI agents were created to automate the work of law enforcement agencies, in particular, the drafting of administrative protocols.

DeepSeek has also found applications in healthcare. For example, Jilin University Hospital in Changchun has developed an AI tool to create personalized treatment plans based on medical data. Jinxin Women’s and Children’s Hospital has introduced an ovulation tracking system to aid in the treatment of infertility.

In some public hospitals, particularly in Hubei province, DeepSeek has begun to be used for medical decision-making. If two doctors disagree on a diagnosis or treatment method, the AI model acts as a third party to make the final decision.
