Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi ordered to check the provision of military personnel on the front line
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has tasked the commanders of the groups of troops and corps commanders by May 20 to check the organization of supply of units performing combat missions at the forefront of defense. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Syrsky also instructed to take the necessary measures so that the military has transportation and evacuation facilities, ground robotic complexes and other equipment necessary for working in positions.
This decision appeared after the situation with the fighters in the Kharkiv direction became public. Relatives of servicemen stated that they systematically lacked food and drinking water at their positions.
After that, the General Staff reported on an internal investigation into military officials, as well as a change in the leadership of the 14th brigade and corps. They explained that support in the Kupyansk area was complicated by Russian air and missile strikes on the crossings across the Oskil River.
Colonel Taras Maksimov was appointed commander of the 14th Motorized Rifle Brigade, and Brigadier General Artem Bogomolov headed the 10th Army Corps.
