Cyber ​​attack on the British Ministry of Defense: stolen personal data of military personnel

Hackers believed to be linked to the Chinese government have breached a British Ministry of Defense database, stealing the personal details of active military personnel and some veterans.

As informs Sky News, the attack targeted the payroll system, resulting in the names and bank details of military personnel being stolen.

The Ministry of Defense has already contacted the victims and promised to provide them with the necessary support. On May 7, the British government will inform members of parliament about the incident.

Although the country responsible for the attack has not been officially named, Sky News claims that intelligence suggests hackers linked to the Chinese government are involved.

This incident is a serious breach of security and could have significant consequences for the affected service members. The Ministry of Defense is taking steps to minimize damage and prevent similar attacks in the future.
