Defense forces again hit the Dubna space communications center in the Moscow region

On the night of June 30, the Defense Forces of Ukraine again struck the Dubna space communications center, located in the Moscow region. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

As Zelensky noted, Dubna is a special satellite communications facility. It is used, in particular, for reconnaissance and coordination of the actions of the Russian occupation contingent on the territory of Ukraine.

The Dubna space communications center was first struck on the night of June 21-22, 2026. Then the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a large-scale attack with drones. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and satellite images, two accurate hits were recorded on the territory of the facility.

One of them hit the hardware and modular complex of the 32-meter MARK-IV antenna. Another hit was recorded in the main production and administrative building and the technical building located next to the antenna.

From the Ukrainian state border to this facility — more than 500 kilometers. The Dubna Space Communications Center is the largest ground-based satellite communications complex in Russia. It is located in the Moscow region and is one of the five key centers of the FSUE “Space Communications”.

The facility ensures the operation of military and civilian satellites, government communications, data transmission, television and radio broadcasting and control of the orbital group, in particular the Express satellite network.

The Dubna Space Communications Center has been operating since 1980, it was originally built as a facility for broadcasting the Olympic Games.
