Defensive operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue in the Kharkiv region, in the area of the border villages of Strelecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynikove, Lukyantsi, Gatishche, and Pletenivka. In addition, the situation in the Donetsk region is particularly tense at the moment, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said during his evening address to Ukrainians.
“I want to thank every soldier from our various combat units who defend Kharkiv region… I listened to the reports of the Chief of the Committee Oleksandr Syrskyi. We are strengthening our positions, in particular in Kharkiv region – we are adding forces there. The artillery works exactly as it should. And one more thing. I would also like to mention our police officers – precisely those who, despite all the threats and blows, work for the safety and rescue of people in Kharkiv region,” the President of Ukraine noted.
Ukraine’s head of state called the situation in the Donetsk region difficult. Fierce battles are also taking place in other areas.
“The situation in Donetsk region remains particularly tense, in particular the Pokrovsky direction – Semenivka, Netaylovye. Over 30 combat clashes take place there every day. It is extremely difficult. Of course, attention is also paid to all other directions of our defensive actions: Kup’yanskyi, Lymanskyi, Siverskyi, Kramatorskyi, Vremivskyi,” – says Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The President thanked all military personnel who are currently protecting the state. Traditionally, he singled out a few brigades that were distinguished by special achievements during the last days.
“According to the results of this week, the soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade deserve special gratitude from us and you – all Ukrainians. They are fighting precisely in the Pokrovsky direction – they are fighting effectively. Well done, guys! Donetsk region: 110th separate mechanized brigade, 1 th battalion. Thank you for shooting down another Russian Su-25!” – noted Zelensky.
