Denys Shmyhal clarified the salary criterion when booking employees

The average wage level of UAH 20,000, which is 2.5 times the minimum wage, became one of the conditions for reservation from mobilization within the framework of the “fight or work” principle. About this stated Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

“It’s really a fight or work principle. Either the company works and fills the budget, paying the appropriate level of salaries and coming out of the shadows, or such companies take certain measures so that the level of salaries is increased and corresponds to the industry average.” – he noted.

Earlier, the prime minister reported that 98% of summonses generated through the “Oberig” system were addressed to people who do not have official employment or do not pay taxes.

The concept of “fight or work” was first voiced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his New Year’s address on the eve of 2024. He emphasized that during the war it is impossible to avoid one’s responsibility: everyone must either work on the economic front or defend the country with weapons in hand.
