Electronic referrals to doctors, prescriptions for medicines and other medical messages for Ukrainians will be available in the “Diya” application. About this reported Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
The government adopted amendments to the relevant resolution that will allow notifications about prescription numbers and redemption codes, referrals to doctors, requests for access to data, consent to processing personal data, approval of a treatment plan, etc. to be sent to Diya. The Ministry of Digital Services will develop the service together with the Ministry of Health. The application also plans to launch medical push notifications.
Users will be able to receive electronic prescriptions with redemption codes, referrals to a doctor, as well as confirmation of consent to data processing and creation of a treatment plan in “Diya” and Viber. The Ministry of Digitization explained that the system will automatically choose the most convenient method of delivering messages for each patient, which will help avoid possible delays due to failures of the mobile operator.
For those who do not use “Diya” or Viber, everything will remain unchanged – messages will be received via SMS. Children and people who cannot receive notifications themselves will receive them through parents or legal guardians.
