In the Kyiv region, the National Police is conducting an investigation into abuse of office by officials of Ukrzaliznytsia. The actions of the suspects caused significant losses and an artificial shortage of tickets on the most popular routes. About this informs National Police.
The investigation concerns a criminal case initiated on the facts of abuses by a group of officials of one of the units of “Ukrzaliznytsia” related to the organization of passenger transportation by international trains.
According to the law enforcement officers, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, investigators of the Kyiv Police and representatives of the Solomyan District Prosecutor’s Office together with employees of the Department of Corporate Security of Ukrzaliznytsia are conducting investigative actions. Searches are carried out both at the residences of the suspects and at the offices of the structural division of the company involved in criminal schemes.
“In addition, investigative actions will take place in international trains during their departure and arrival. We ask passengers to understand the situation and assist law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties.”, the message says.
