Donald Trump said that “to some extent” decided to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles

US President Donald Trump said that he “to some extent” has already decided on the possible supply of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Trump emphasized that before making a final decision, he wants to find out exactly what these missiles are planned to be used for and where they will be directed.

“I will ask a question. I don’t want to see an escalation, Trump said.

He also noted again that this is a “horrible war”, during which 5-8 thousand people die every week, and emphasized that this war should never have started in the first place.

Recall that on September 28, US Vice President JD Vance announced that Washington is discussing the possible provision of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, but the final word remains with President Donald Trump. Prior to this, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly during a meeting on Tuesday appealed to Trump with a request to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles.

Volodymyr Zelensky separately emphasized that Ukraine already has its own long-range weapons to respond to Russian attacks:

“Today, Ukraine responds to Russia’s strikes with its own weapons, in particular long-range means. If we had another weapon, we would have used it. We have given the President of the United States details of our needs – this is included in the $90 billion deal, but we are ready to discuss individual supplies, including long-range weapons. I cannot give more details – it is very sensitive.
