Donald Trump sent an invitation to Xi Jinping for his inauguration

US President-elect Donald Trump has invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to his inauguration, scheduled for January 20, 2025. About this informs CBS News.

As the publication notes, the invitation was sent shortly after the election. However, it is not yet known whether Xi Jinping has accepted the offer. A representative of the Chinese embassy in Washington declined to comment on this information.

Trump’s team is also considering inviting other world leaders. According to CBS News, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has friendly relations with Trump, is currently “weighing” his decision to attend the ceremony.

“World leaders are lining up to meet with President Trump because they know he will soon return to power and restore peace with American power around the world.”, — stressed Trump’s spokeswoman Carolina Levitt.
