The Patrol Police of Ukraine has begun to process road accident materials in electronic form. Vinnytsia became the first city where the new practice was introduced, reported First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department Oleksiy Biloshitskyi.
“Since Monday, patrol officers have been making road accident scene diagrams using tablets in the Vinnytsia region. This process used to take a lot of time, but now inspectors can quickly enter data about the participants, vehicles, circumstances of the event and create a scheme taking into account the actual road situation, says the message.
Electronic registration, as the department emphasizes, automates the procedure, significantly reduces the time for registration, allows you to accurately record the place of the event and reduces the risk of mechanical errors.
It is planned that by the end of 2025, electronic traffic accident schemes will be introduced in ten more regions, and within the next year the system should cover the entire country. The general procedure will remain unchanged: materials with electronic circuits will, as before, be submitted to the court for consideration.
