eOselya program: Ukrainians issued mortgage loans for UAH 20 billion
Since the launch of the eOselya program, more than 12.5 thousand Ukrainian families have received preferential mortgage loans for a total amount of 20 billion hryvnias. The amount of loans issued in 2024 has already exceeded last year’s figures and amounts to UAH 10.5 billion. About this reported First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
“Demand for eOselya continues to grow. Since the launch of the program, 9,500 military personnel, teachers, doctors and scientists have received loans at 3% per annum. Another 3,000 citizens have received mortgages at 7%”, – noted Svyridenko.
The average loan term is 15-20 years, while the average housing area is 56.6 square meters, and the average loan amount is UAH 1.6 million. The program not only helps Ukrainians to get affordable housing, but also contributes to the development of the construction industry and the production of building materials.
Most loans were issued in regional centers (34%), cities (24%), villages (23%) and Kyiv (19%).
Over the past week, Ukrainians issued 139 new mortgages for UAH 243 million, including 83 for housing on the secondary market, 56 on the primary market.
Among the recipients of soft loans at 3%:
- 69 servicemen,
- 8 teachers,
- 10 doctors,
- 2 scientists.
The following received a 7% mortgage:
- 36 Ukrainians without their own home,
- 5 VPO,
- 9 veterans.
We will remind that from August 16, 2024, the government eased credit conditions for young people under 25, allowing them to get a mortgage with a down payment of 10%. Also, IDPs will be able to get loans at 7%, and other citizens will have the opportunity to use the eRenovation housing certificate for the first payment.
The eOselya program is part of the “Made in Ukraine” initiative and is aimed at supporting the demand for Ukrainian goods and the development of domestic production. The program was launched in October 2022 and is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy together with the Ministry of Statistics and Ukrfinzhitlo PJSC.
