Former head of the Odessa region’s traffic police purchased luxury cars at reduced prices
The former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Odesa region bought luxury cars, the market value of which exceeds 5.3 million hryvnias, at significantly lower prices. About this informs DBR press office.
In this regard, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court with the demand to recognize these assets as unfounded, reports the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation. We are talking about Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (released in 2018) and Audi RSQ8 (2020) cars, which were purchased by the ex-officer’s family for 300,000 hryvnias and 1.4 million hryvnias, respectively.
The total market value of these vehicles exceeded 5.3 million hryvnias. Subsequently, the Audi RSQ8 was sold at market price, and the proceeds were used to purchase a BMW X7 xDrive car. Currently, the High Anti-Corruption Court, as part of securing the claim, has seized Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and BMW X7 xDrive.
We will remind that on May 5, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit to declare the acquisition and confiscation of a part of an elite apartment with an area of 170 square meters in a prestigious residential complex in Kyiv as unfounded. The real estate was registered to the mother-in-law of the current Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaly Koval, but in fact his family lives there.
