Four servicemen died in a road accident in the Lviv region

A fatal road accident occurred in Lviv region, resulting in the deaths of four servicemen serving in one of the military units. The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to preliminary data, the tragedy occurred on October 30 at approximately 9:15 p.m. near the village of Zhyrivka, Lviv district. The driver of a “Nissan” car with military license plates lost control on a bend in the road. The car left the roadway and collided with a truck standing on the side of the road.
The collision killed the driver and two passengers of the “Nissan” car, as well as a military man – a passenger of the truck, who was getting out of the vehicle’s cabin at the time of the accident.
Investigators and operatives of the State Bureau of Investigation worked at the scene of the incident. They conducted a detailed inspection of the territory, seized material evidence, interviewed witnesses and began comprehensive measures to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the rules for driving or operating vehicles, which caused the death of several people. The procedural management of the case is carried out by the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense of the Western Region.
