FPV drone destroys over 300 mines: explosion equals earthquake in strength

Fighters of the Asgard FPV unit of the 412th Nemesis Regiment carried out a unique operation, using only one attack drone to eliminate a huge stockpile of Soviet TM-62 anti-tank mines. By data Landslide “Dnipro”, as a result of the strike, more than 300 mines filled with explosives were destroyed.

The total weight of the detonated explosives reached approximately 2.5 tons. Such a volume creates a real effect of a cascading explosion with a destructive force in a radius of 30-50 meters, where no manpower or equipment can survive. Outside this epicenter, an even wider lethal zone for infantry is formed – within 100-150 meters.

Specialists of the unit note that such a detonation is equivalent in power to the impact of a heavy aviation bomb. The impact is felt like a light earthquake: the magnitude of fluctuations at the point of explosion can reach 2.5 points. For the surrounding area, it is felt like an underground shock – the ground and the air wave oscillate, creating the effect of a man-made earthquake.

Thus, one FPV drone became the catalyst for an explosion that many times exceeded its own power. This case demonstrates that modern drones are capable not only of point-hitting armored vehicles or infantry, but also of causing a large-scale explosion effect that can be compared to an aircraft strike or even a local seismic phenomenon.
