From September, “Ukrposhta” will deliver foreign passports to Ukrainian embassies

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the national postal operator “Ukrposhta” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which provides for the launch of a new service for the delivery of documents, in particular foreign passports, to foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine. About this reported press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The new service is planned to be launched in September this year. As part of cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrposhta are developing optimal logistics routes that will ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of postal items. Citizens of Ukraine living abroad will be able to obtain their foreign passports and other documents at a much lower cost than offered by international commercial companies.

The cost of delivering documents to any country in the world will be only $6 plus UAH 10 VAT. After the passport is produced in Ukraine, “Ukrposhta” will deliver it directly to the foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine in the country where the passport was ordered. After that, the document will be issued to the applicant.

Director General of “Ukrposhta” Ihor Smilyanskyy noted that the company’s partner network, which includes 660,000 branches around the world, will allow for fast and reliable delivery of all necessary documents, from Ukrainian goods to driver’s licenses and foreign passports.
