From Ukraine to Poland: 60% of startups plan to relocate to a neighboring country

Almost 60% of Ukrainian startups, which were forced to leave their native country due to the war, plan to relocate to Poland. Such statistics made public Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Poland Krzysztof Hawkowski.

According to a study by the Polish government, about half of the startups that have already moved to Poland from Ukraine plan to return home after the end of the war.

At the same time, Poland is becoming an increasingly attractive place for Ukrainian IT business. According to Havkovskyi, many Ukrainian developers find work in Polish startups, which stimulates their development and positively affects the Polish economy.

The cooperation of Ukrainian and Polish IT specialists creates synergy, making Poland’s IT sector stronger.

The Polish government not only does not interfere with the relocation of Ukrainian startups, but also supports them in every possible way. After all, such projects not only develop the local market, but also create new jobs.

Ukrainians who want to start their own business in Poland have the same opportunities as Polish citizens. They can apply for any funding programs on equal terms.

According to the results of 2023, every tenth new individual entrepreneur in Poland was a Ukrainian. During 2022-2023 alone, Ukrainians registered more than 48,000 FOPs in Poland.
