Georgia reacted sharply to Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s words about the country’s dependence on the Russian Federation
The leader of the parliamentary majority of Georgia and the head of the ruling party “Georgian Dream” Iraklii Kirtskhalia reacted sharply to the speech of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the UN General Assembly, during which he declared about Georgia’s dependence on Russia. The statement of the Georgian official quotes the Rustavi 2 TV channel.
Iraklii Kirtshalia called the Ukrainian president’s words offensive to Georgian society. He emphasized that Zelenskyy “again allowed himself to speak humiliatingly” regarding the human rights situation in Georgia and called to first evaluate the situation in one’s own country.
“Shameless statement of a shameful puppet from the highest rostrum of the UN. Before talking about Georgia, this person should look at the conclusion of the European Commission regarding Ukraine and understand where his country is, Kirtshalia said.
The Georgian politician noted that Zelensky has no moral right to assess the internal situation in other countries, when he allegedly faces large-scale challenges in the field of human rights and democracy every day.
It was the Irakli Kirtshalia party that used images of Ukrainian cities destroyed by the Russian army several times for its advertising on the eve of local elections. The video shows black-and-white footage from the front-line Ukrainian cities, which were completely destroyed due to the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine.
Let us remind you that during his speech at the UN General Assembly on September 24, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the growth of Russian influence on neighboring states:
“The world ignored Russia’s attack on Georgia. We have already lost Georgia in Europe, it is dependent on Russia. Europe cannot afford to lose Moldova either.
