Great Britain allocates 150 million pounds to support the energy sector of Ukraine

The United Kingdom has announced the allocation of nearly £150 million (over $180 million) to help Ukraine strengthen its energy sector. This aid is provided in response to damage to Ukrainian infrastructure as a result of the Russian invasion.

“The UK is stepping up its support for Ukraine with almost £150 million to strengthen its energy sector. We are working with our G7+ partners to help Ukraine repair, protect and modernize its energy system“, said the Permanent Representative of Great Britain to the OSCE, Neil Holland.

According to Holland, these funds will be used to finance repair work on damaged energy infrastructure facilities, as well as to supply Ukraine with new equipment and technologies. In addition, part of the funds will be directed to strengthening the cyber security of the Ukrainian energy system.
