Great Britain handed over air defense missiles to Ukraine 5 months ahead of schedule

The Minister of State for the Armed Forces of Great Britain Luke Pollard announced that hundreds of missiles were delivered to Ukraine five months ahead of schedule.  These are light multi-purpose missiles (LMMs) used for air defense and manufactured by Thales in Belfast.

The supply was part of a wider program of military support for Ukraine, in which London allocated £4.5bn this year – the largest amount of aid Britain has ever given to another country.

The British government also noted that a British trade delegation headed by Pollard visited Kyiv this week. Its purpose was to strengthen military support for Ukraine.

“It was an honor for me to lead this trade delegation in Kyiv and to see so many other countries participating in this event. Fostering industrial partnerships is vital so that we can learn from their experience and together build the industrial base needed to protect the UK, deter our adversaries and support Ukraine”, said Luke Pollard.

We will remind you that in September it became known that Great Britain will produce Ukrainian interceptor drones. For this, London and Kyiv signed a corresponding agreement, which became a continuation of industrial cooperation.
