Great Britain launched an English language training program for Ukrainian civil servants
Great Britain is starting a large-scale English language training program for Ukrainian civil servants, which will last three years. About this reported on the Government portal.
The program, for which the British government will allocate 3 million pounds, is aimed at improving the skills of 1,400 civil servants every year, especially those who work in areas related to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
According to official information, training will include individual and group classes, workshops and online courses adapted to the specifics of the work of civil servants. All ministries will have the opportunity to nominate their candidates for participation in the program. Selection will be made on the basis of their professional activities related to Euro-Atlantic integration, and the final decision on inclusion in the program will be made by the Supervisory Board, which will include representatives of the British Embassy in Ukraine, the British Council and the Government of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that this initiative complements the efforts of the Ukrainian government to promote the English language at the state level. We will remind you that in June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for the introduction of new standards for knowledge of the English language for public positions.
