Illegal sale of weapons from a cache in a medical facility uncovered in Kyiv
A man was suspected in Kyiv of illegally selling weapons and storing them, in particular, in the premises of the hospital where he worked as a driver. According to information from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, law enforcement officers documented several facts of weapons sales.
«The sale of a pistol to suspects was documented Glock 21 for $2,900, Scorpion submachine gun for $1,800, Makarov pistol for $1,900. During the last meeting with the buyer, the man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine,” the report says.
After the detention, searches were conducted at the suspect’s place of residence and work. A significant arsenal was seized from him, including hand grenades with detonators, automatic weapons, rifles and hunting carbines.

In total, investigative actions took place at 15 addresses in the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. During the investigation, another Kyiv resident was also identified, in whose home 8 rifles, 13 grenades, pistols, 5 assault rifles and a machine gun were found.
This man was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. The investigation is ongoing.
