Ministry of Defense launches Mission Control system to coordinate drone operations
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov signed an order to launch Mission Control, a new drone control system that should change the approach to coordinating drone missions on the battlefield. The project involves digitally recording key parameters of each flight: type of UAV, launch point, route, and task.
Fedorov emphasized that modern warfare is a competition of technology and speed of decision-making. According to him, the Ukrainian military has already learned to see the battlefield thanks to the “eBal” system, which allows assessing the contribution of each crew, but this is no longer enough to defeat the enemy even more effectively.
Mission Control is integrated into the DELTA combat ecosystem and allows all data to be generated automatically – based on the real work of units, rather than manual reports. This gives commanders the opportunity to see the full picture of mission performance in real time without additional summaries, and the military – to focus directly on combat tasks.
“We are eliminating the paper army, which takes away time and focus from the military. All data is generated automatically based on the real work of the crews,” Fedorov noted. He also said that the next stage would be the implementation of a similar control system for artillery. According to him, this would allow us to move from chaotic and fragmented data to a controlled, technological model of warfare, in which decisions are made based on precise calculations. “We are moving from chaos and fragmented data to a controlled, technological war, where decisions are made based on precise figures, not assumptions. This is the new logic of war: to fight systematically, technologically and effectively, preserving the lives of our military,” the minister emphasized.
Fedorov recalled that a department of war mathematics is already operating within the Brave1 platform, and the experience gained there is gradually being scaled up to the entire defense system.
