According to the State Customs Service, in April 2024, Ukrainian metallurgical companies significantly increased the export of semi-finished products. Compared to March 2024, export volumes increased by 51.8%, reaching 132.1 thousand tons. This is also 29.9% more than in April 2023.

The value of exports also increased:
- Compared to March 2024 – by 45.7%, to $67.14 million.
- Compared to April 2023 – by 19.9%.
In the first 4 months of 2024, the export of semi-finished products from Ukraine increased by 96.9% compared to the same period in 2023, to 583.23 thousand tons. Export revenue increased by 82.2% y/y to $288.32 million.
The largest consumers of Ukrainian semi-finished products in January-April 2024 were:
- Bulgaria (37.5% of total exports in monetary terms).
- Poland (15.8%).
- Italy (7.7%).
