The SBI exposed the head of the Lviv TCC, who did not declare property worth more than 6 million hryvnias in the declaration
DBI employees exposed the deputy head of the Lviv Regional TCC and SP, who at the time of the investigation was performing the duties of the head, in concealing from the declaration of a residential building and a plot of land worth more than 6 million hryvnias. He registered the discovered property for his mother-in-law, reports the press service of the DBR.
The investigation established that in 2023-2024 the official deliberately did not declare a land plot with an area of 0.025 hectares and a residential building with an area of 139 square meters. m in the Lviv district, built on this land. Formally, the owner of the real estate was the mother-in-law, but in fact the object was used by the official himself and his family as a place of residence. The total value of the hidden property exceeds 6 million hryvnias.
Law enforcement officers emphasize that the purchase of a house and land has signs of dubiousness, because the declared incomes of the soldier and his family do not correspond to the real value of this real estate. At the initiative of the SBI, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption appointed a full inspection of the lifestyle of the head of the TCC. The property has already been seized.
The official was charged with suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (declaration of false information). If he is found guilty, he faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to two years with additional deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.
In addition, the SBI is checking information on another undeclared asset — a Mercedes car registered to the suspect’s father. According to the investigation, the relative’s income does not confirm the possibility of purchasing a vehicle. It is known that the car was bought in 2021, when the officer held the position of commander of one of the military units. Its approximate value was about 18 thousand US dollars.
Procedural management in the case is carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region.
