In Kazan, drones attacked aircraft factories

On January 20, residents of Kazan reported a series of explosions in various areas of the city following claims of drone attacks. According to preliminary data, the explosions occurred at aircraft factories, rosZMI reports.
Eyewitnesses reported explosions in the Aviation, Moskovskiy, Kirovsky and Novo-Savynsky districts of the city. The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned the population about the potential danger, urging them to stay calm and avoid being near windows.
The drone strikes were aimed at the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant. Later, there were reports of a second wave of attacks targeting both aircraft and helicopter factories. Explosions were also heard in the area of Borysoglebske airport. The “Carpet” regime has been introduced at the Kazan airport, which has led to delays in both departure and arrival flights.
In addition to Tatarstan, the threat of drone attacks was also announced in Ryazan, Kursk region and other regions. Explosions near the military airfield are reported in Ryazan.
