Donald Trump instructed the Pentagon to prepare measures against the rapprochement of Russia and China
US President Donald Trump has instructed the Pentagon to develop measures aimed at curbing the growing cooperation between Moscow and Beijing, using a combination of military and diplomatic tools. This was stated by US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in an interview with Fox News.
He emphasized that the rapprochement between Russia and China is a consequence of the “weakness of the previous leadership,” which, he said, weakened American influence. In response, Trump ordered the Pentagon to update its arsenal of weapons, increase the morale of the army and restore the deterrence system.
Hegset emphasized that the United States does not seek direct confrontation, but readiness for any development is a guarantee of the security of American citizens. He noted that the military capabilities of the United States will cover space, air, sea and underwater space, as well as the Golden Dome system, which China is currently unable to reproduce.
In addition, the Minister of Defense emphasized the importance of diplomatic tools, stressing that Trump maintains “good personal relations” with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
We remind you that in recent years, Russia and China have been actively expanding cooperation in the military, economic and technological spheres, conducting joint training, expanding trade ties and interacting in the space and cyber spheres. In Washington, this alliance is seen as a serious challenge to US global influence and security.
