In Kazan, drones attacked an enterprise and high-rise buildings
On December 21, eight drone strikes took place in the Russian city of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. They hit an industrial plant and residential areas. Russian mass media will inform about this.
“Up to this moment, eight flights have been recorded. Of them, one was at an industrial enterprise, one was over a river, and six were at a residential area. According to the information at the moment, there are no dead or injured.”, – said the press service of the head of Tatarstan.
Due to the attack, the operation of Kazan and Izhevsk airports was temporarily suspended. Kazan airport is currently not accepting or departing flights, and Izhevsk, located approximately 350 kilometers from Kazan, has also suspended flights.
One of the drones crashed into a 37-story residential complex in the Soviet district of Kazan. 50 minutes later, a second drone hit the same building, causing a massive fire. Rescue services are on site.
The City Hall of Kazan confirmed fires in houses in three districts of the city: Soviet, Kirovsky and Privolzhsky. Tatarstan authorities report three victims with cuts from broken glass.
