In Kupyansk, the city has been cleared, the invaders remain only in certain neighborhoods: Tregubov

In the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, Russian troops remain only in certain quarters, and their attempts to change the situation around the city have not yielded results. This was reported by Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group.

“In Kupyansk itself, the city has been cleared of Russian occupiers, of those units of Russian occupiers that are still in several quarters there. I’m not even talking about districts, I’m talking about neighborhoods,” Tregubov said.

According to him, the number of Russian soldiers still remaining in the city is small.

“There are about 27 radios, let’s multiply by two or three. Well, I think there are still around 50. Well, that’s if you take the maximum,” he clarified.

Tregubov also emphasized that the occupiers are not showing any willingness to surrender en masse. “They take a few prisoners there, but it’s literally a few per week,” he explained.

The representative of the Joint Forces Group added that the situation on the flanks around Kupyansk remains stable, despite the enemy’s constant attempts to advance.

“On the flanks, there are constant attempts to crawl east of the city, directly across the river, but without much success, and constant attempts to somehow overcome this distance north of the city are also without success,” Tregubov emphasized.

He noted that even Russian information sources acknowledge the loss of the city.
