In the mobile application “Reserve+” a new status for conscripts appeared — “requires basic general military training”. The application manager from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Galina Volovina explained what this status that appeared after the update means programs.
According to the official, it indicates the absence of data in the military register regarding the military accounting specialty of a specific person. In this case, it is necessary to undergo basic training, if there is no confirmed other specialty.
“This means that the registry does not know what the military serviceman’s VOS is. He was supposed to get it when he became conscripted. If it is on paper, but this information is not in the register, you should contact the TCC and update the data. This is a signal that if a person will be drafted, but he does not have a VOS, he needs to pass the BZVP”, noted Galina Volovina.
We would like to remind you that in September 2025, compulsory basic military training (BZVP) for students of higher education institutions started in Ukraine. This innovation is part of a large-scale reform of the system of military training of citizens and is being introduced in accordance with the amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed on January 15, 2025.
The BZVP program was created taking into account modern challenges and the experience of leading European states, including Poland, Finland and the Baltic states. Its purpose is to form the necessary military skills in young people and ensure the readiness of citizens to defend the state.
