In the Kyiv region, a soldier was declared a suspect after shooting his comrade, a woman, and another soldier
A man in the Kyiv region was reported on suspicion of premeditated murder. According to the investigation, he opened fire on his brother, a woman and another serviceman. This was reported by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense of the Central Region.
According to law enforcement officials, a conflict occurred between two servicemen on the evening of June 2. According to the investigation, the suspect was intoxicated, during an argument he hit his brother with the butt of a machine gun, and then shot him twice – in the chest and lower body.
“As a result of the gunshot wounds, the victim suffered serious bodily injuries, including lung damage and rib fractures. After the incident, the attacker left the scene without providing any assistance to the wounded. Thanks to timely hospitalization, the victim survived, but is currently in serious condition,” — law enforcement officials reported.
After that, according to the investigation, the man came to another house where a woman and a soldier were staying. Law enforcement officials claim that he threatened them, and then shot them several times with a machine gun. Both died on the spot from their injuries.
The suspect was detained. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is currently being resolved. He is charged with a completed attempt to commit murder and the intentional murder of two persons under Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 and Part 1 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
If proven guilty, the man faces a sentence of imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
