In the US, a senator was forcibly removed from the briefing of the Secretary of Homeland Security (video)

The US Secret Service, which provides protection for the first persons of the state, detained the senator from California, Alex Padilla, a representative of the Democratic Party. The politician tried to ask questions of US Homeland Security Secretary Kristy Noem during a briefing on June 12, but was forcibly removed from the room and forced to his knees. About this informs CNN.
Noem was speaking in Los Angeles after mass protests against anti-immigration raids, in response to which the administration of US President Donald Trump involved the National Guard and the Marine Corps to protect public order.
Padilla tried to interrupt her speech to ask a question, but was not allowed to do so. Noem told reporters that she plans to meet with Padilla after the briefing, but considers his actions unacceptable.
“I don’t even know this senator. He hasn’t asked to meet with me and he hasn’t asked to talk to me. I’m going to talk to him, visit him and find out what’s really bothering him.” she explained.
The 52-year-old senator, who served as California secretary of state for six years, said he came to the briefing to exercise parliamentary control over the executive branch.
“If this administration is responding to the senator’s question like this, you can imagine how they are dealing with farm workers, cooks and manual laborers.” Alex Padilla noted.
Democrats in Congress are demanding that Noem provide a report on the incident with the senator. Although some Republicans expressed concern about the events, many of them supported the secretary and Secret Service employees, the newspaper noted. It is reported that the senator was suspected of preparing the attack.
