In Ukraine, a ground-based amphibious drone, created for the needs of the Armed Forces, was presented

In Lviv, during the Defense Tech Valley investment summit, the company “Unmanned ground solutions” presented remotely controlled amphibious vehicle UNEX UGV, created for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The head of the company, Mykola Kozlov, noted that the platform is able to perform tasks at a distance of up to 30 kilometers from the operator, and one battery charge is enough for six hours of movement. The main function of the UNEX UGV is to transport cargo, in particular ammunition, as well as the possibility of integration with other military or civilian systems. The machine works entirely on electricity, which ensures a minimum level of noise and a reduced thermal footprint, which is an important advantage in combat conditions.

In April 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially allowed UNEX UGV for use in the Defense Forces. Its layout resembles the SHERP all-terrain vehicle, which is manufactured in Ukraine and Europe and has several modifications used in various fields. The equipment is equipped with large low-pressure tires with a diameter of 160 centimeters, which allow you to easily overcome swamps, snow, rocky terrain and water obstacles, as well as float to the surface and move on water.

Thanks to wide tires and balanced weight distribution, the machine creates pressure on the ground, less than that of an infantryman, which allows you to minimize the risk of detonation on anti-vehicle mines. During a demonstration in Lviv, UNEX UGV drove over a ceramic plate and a coffee cup without damaging them, which demonstrated its ability to move extremely delicately.
