In Ukraine, the Tengu-5 robotic complex for fire extinguishing of strategic objects was presented

At the SECURITY 2.0 exhibition in Kyiv presented the ground robotic complex Tengu-5, created by order of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Its main task is to extinguish fires at military and energy facilities, near which it is too dangerous for rescuers to stay. These can be chemical plants, oil and gas wells, ammunition depots or oil product pumping stations.

Tengu-5 is equipped with mounts for a powerful StreamMaster II monitor, through which water is supplied to the center of the fire. When moving, the robot pulls a hose connected to a fire truck or other water supply source. Thanks to this, it can work at a distance of up to a kilometer from the rescuers.

The company “Tactical Technology” explained that now the robot prototype is based on a Chinese tracked chassis, on which is installed its own armored platform with the level of protection STANAG 4569 of the first degree, which protects the equipment from debris. Technical documentation has already been developed for the actual chassis, which is planned to be produced after the start of serial production.

The engine, water supply systems, life support elements, hatches for unit maintenance and compartments for transporting rescue equipment are located inside the machine. A complex of cameras with a 30-fold optical zoom and a thermal imager is installed on the body, and there is also a place for evacuation stretchers. Optionally, the Tengu-5 can be equipped with the Morok-5 EW system.

The robot develops a speed of up to 10 km/h and is equipped with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. In the front part there is a winch with a pulling force of 2 tons. It is assumed that Tengu-5 will work near critical energy facilities and at rescue stations as part of other emergency services equipment. Currently, the complex is being prepared for testing.
