In Volyn, police detained a high-ranking official of the CCC while accepting a bribe

In the Volyn region, law enforcement officers detained an official of one of the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support on suspicion of receiving an illegal benefit. The Volyn regional CCC and SP confirmed the fact of conducting investigative actions, but did not specify which center it was and who was detained.

The regional CCC and SP noted that law enforcement officers are taking measures to prevent corruption offenses and other illegal actions.

“An official of one of the CCC and SP of the Volyn region was detained on suspicion of receiving an illegal benefit. As part of the pre-trial investigation, the possible involvement of third parties who could have been involved in illegal activities as intermediaries is being established,” the official statement says.

According to preliminary data, the case may concern the execution of documents on temporary disability, on the basis of which the man was to be removed from military registration. This information is currently being verified as part of the pre-trial investigation.

In parallel, the National Police of Ukraine reported that on June 5, investigators from the Department of Strategic Investigations conducted almost 60 searches at the premises of representatives of military medical commissions and expert teams for assessing the daily functioning of a person in 16 regions. During the investigative actions, property was seized, which, according to the police, did not correspond to the official income of the officials.

The National Police of Ukraine noted that the difference between the declared assets and the actual property status of individual officials could be from 2 to 11 million hryvnias. Investigative actions are ongoing, and law enforcement officers are identifying all possible participants in illegal schemes.
