Income from the privatization of state property increased several times last year

Revenues from the privatization of state property in 2024 increased 3.1 times compared to 2023, reaching 9.9 billion hryvnias. This is 6.75 billion more than last year, informs The State Property Fund of Ukraine (FDMU).
This became a new record for the volume of revenues from privatization. In 2024, the Ukrainian budget received a total of 11.1 billion hryvnias, including 9.9 billion hryvnias from the sale of assets and 1.2 billion hryvnias from VAT.
The sale of small privatization objects secured almost 3.5 billion hryvnias, among which the most expensive lot was the Kyiv hotel “Kozatskyi”, sold for 0.4 billion hryvnias. At the same time, two large assets – the hotel “Ukraine” in Kyiv and the United Mining and Chemical Company – brought 6.45 billion hryvnias to the budget.
FSMU also started auctioning state assets with zero or no book value, setting the starting price at 1 hryvnia. These auctions generated considerable interest and a high level of competition among buyers.
