NEC “Ukrenergo”, a company that has repeatedly called on Ukrainians to limit the use of air conditioners due to a shortage of electricity, has canceled a tender for the purchase of air conditioners for its own needs.
About this reported the company’s press service in response to a wave of criticism on the network.
The official position of “Ukrenergo”:
“Today’s tender for the purchase of air conditioning systems will be cancelled. The legal cancellation procedure has already been initiated by our purchasing department. Since the company urged all consumers not to turn on the air conditioners, the split systems in our buildings and offices are not working.”, – the company noted.
The company also emphasizes that the published tender for Prozorro to replace the split systems, which are 16 and 13 years old, our service departments started preparing at the beginning of 2024, when the energy system fully covered the needs of consumers. The purpose of this purchase was to ensure uninterrupted cooling of technical premises: the battery room and the elevator engine room.
“We buy everything in strict accordance with the law and transparency rules, so the preparation of the procedure takes some time. The announcement of this tender, unfortunately, coincided with forced restrictions on energy supply due to Russian shelling. In order to avoid manipulation, the tender will be cancelled. We will repair existing air conditioning systems in order to ensure the operation of the company’s technical infrastructure. The tender procedure will resume when all outages are canceled”, – informs Ukrenergo.
It is also noted that the company is reviewing all current purchases of cooling devices.
Tender details:
“Ukrenergo” planned to purchase four sets of air conditioning systems:
- air conditioner split-system inverter 80 sq. m 8/9 kW 2.1/2.3 kW complete with network adapter
- SC-BIKN2-E and RC-EX3A wired remote control;
- air conditioner split-system inverter 80 sq. m 8/9kW 2.1/2.3kW complete with network adapter SC-BIKN2-E;
- air conditioner split-system channel medium pressure inverter 125 sq. m 12.5/14 kW 4.4/3.7 kW (two sets).
- The expected purchase price was UAH 629,130.
