India is sending an envoy to Moscow to discuss the peace process regarding Ukraine

National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India, Ajit Doval, will visit Moscow, where he will discuss peaceful initiatives to resolve the war in Ukraine. informs edition of India Today.

It is noted that Doval will arrive in Moscow from September 10 to 11 to participate in a meeting of representatives of BRICS countries dealing with security issues. As part of his visit, he will hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss possible peaceful ways to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, Councilor Doval plans to hold bilateral negotiations with his Russian and Chinese colleagues. These meetings are expected to be a continuation of the discussions started during the summit in July, which was also held in Moscow.

It is worth noting that BRICS is a group of 10 countries that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.

As for India’s peace initiatives, let’s recall that in July, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Russia, where he met with Putin. This meeting caused a great resonance in the Western mass media and dissatisfaction on the part of the Ukrainian authorities.

Also, on the eve of the Independence Day of Ukraine, on August 23, Modi came to Kyiv for talks with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. During the visit, the Prime Minister of India announced India’s readiness to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the war.
