Italian company Ariston returns to the Russian market

The Italian company Ariston, specializing in the production of household appliances, has announced its return to the Russian market. About this reported the press service of the company.

The decision became possible after Vladimir Putin signed a decree revoking his previous order of April 26, 2024, according to which Ariston’s Russian assets were transferred to the temporary management of JSC Gazprom Household Systems.

“We are very pleased with the decision of the Russian authorities to reinstate Ariston Group as the owner and operator of our Russian subsidiary…We intend to resume operations with Russian management in full compliance with existing sanctions,” – said the executive chairman of Ariston Group, Paolo Merloni.

The company “Ariston Thermo Rus”, registered in the Leningrad Region, belongs to Merlon as a beneficiary. It is engaged in the production of household electrical appliances and the sale of electrical and gas appliances. Ariston’s board of directors should review the August decision to deconsolidate the Russian division and take into account the corresponding financial losses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy positively evaluated this decision:

“Russia’s decision was the result of a lot of work done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Embassy in Moscow and the Italian authorities.”

We will remind you that in April 2023, Vladimir Putin signed a decree that provides for the introduction of temporary management of the property of persons from so-called “unfriendly” countries in cases where Russia or its citizens and companies experience the seizure of property, restriction of property rights, or the threat of such actions in the specified states.
