“2025 will be the most difficult year during the war”: Stepan Havrysh, first deputy secretary of the NSDC

First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Stepan Havrysh said that 2025, especially winter, will be the most difficult period for Ukraine since the beginning of the war. He urged Ukrainians to rely on their own strength and stock up on everything they need, as the supply of heat and electricity can be unstable.
“The government will do everything to ensure that there is water and electricity. But it is not a fact that it will be in sufficient quantity, regularly and reliably. Therefore, you should stock up on everything you can and understand that 2025, especially winter, will be the most difficult in the history of war“, – he said.
Havrysh emphasized that the authorities will do everything possible to provide the population with water and electricity, but cannot guarantee sufficient quantity, regularity and reliability of supply. Therefore, he recommended that Ukrainians prepare for a pessimistic scenario and not rely only on help from the state.
“You should not live only with optimism and count on the fact that someone will do something for you”, – concluded Havrysh.
Earlier, People’s Deputy Serhiy Nagornyak also reported that it will not be possible to completely restore the Ukrainian energy industry before the start of the heating season.
