JSC “Ukrposhta” put up 20 real estate objects for sale for almost UAH 248 million
JSC “Ukrposhta” announced the sale of 20 real estate objects with a total area of 32.8 thousand m². The auctions will be held in the “Prozorro.Sales” system from March 3 to 12. The initial total cost of the lots is almost UAH 248 million.
As reported by the company’s CEO Igor Smilyansky, about 3% of the company’s real estate portfolio is put up for auction – these are premises that are no longer used in operational activities. Among them are both small buildings in the villages of Transcarpathia and significant objects, in particular the former sorting center in Lviv with an area of 5.6 thousand m². The total starting price of all lots exceeds UAH 200 million.
The company expects that the sale will save more than UAH 3 million on maintenance costs and tax payments. In addition, Ukrposhta expects to receive additional income in the tens of millions of hryvnias, which they plan to direct to development – the purchase of new vehicles, the installation of post offices and the modernization of sorting lines.
Smilyansky drew special attention to the building of the former sorting center in Lviv, calling it the “highlight” of the auction.
“It was built back in the 1920s in the very center of Lviv near the railway station. Everyone who came to Lviv saw this building when leaving the station on the left. It is clear that having a sorting center in a beautiful, historical, pedestrian zone of the city of Lviv is absurd. But to build a hotel, office center or apartment building there is exactly that,” he emphasized.
The object in Lviv is listed with a starting price of UAH 56.8 million. It has not been used since November 2022 after the company moved to a new automated center. The complex consists of a main four-story building and several auxiliary one-story buildings, and the total area of the premises is 5,642.4 m².
Ukrposhta sells real estate through the state electronic system “Prozorro.Sales”. According to the results of previous auctions, the company has already managed to receive UAH 424 million.
