Karol Navrotsky did not like Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s statement about Poland’s ability to shoot down Russian drones
Polish President Karol Nawrocki said that he did not like how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi commented on the downing of Russian drones over Poland. Navrotsky spoke about this in an interview with the Fakt portal.
He reacted to Zelenskyi’s words in the last interview with Sky News, where the Ukrainian president noted that Poland is not at war and is not ready for mass drone attacks:
“But even if you compare: 810 attacked Ukraine, and we shot down more than 700, and they had, I think, 19 drones and shot down four. They had no missiles or ballistics. And, of course, they will not be able to save people if there is a massive attack.
Navrotskyi added that he “didn’t like these words of President Zelenskyi”, although he understood that Zelenskyi was referring to the experience gained by Ukraine at the cost of the lives of its soldiers and civilians. In his opinion, the President of Ukraine wanted to emphasize the need for Poland to strengthen countermeasures against drones, “although I admit that he could have expressed it differently”.
“The development of anti-drone troops and the armed forces of Ukraine in general is possible thanks to the great solidarity of European countries and countries outside the European Union, the support we provide to Ukraine. This statement could have been expressed in a more diplomatic tone, Navrotskyi added.
